I have found Tai Chi very beneficial for my patients, with improvement in their flexibility, reducing pain, stress and anxiety. I highly recommend Damon as a teacher. He assesses each student individually and allows the person to work to their level of abilities.

Damon Bramich is a colleague and friend. Our relationship spans over 35 years having initially met when Damon enrolled as a Remedial Massage student at my college, The School of Integrated Body Therapy, in 1989. Damon’s skills as a student stood out and as he progressed through various remedial massage and bodywork courses, it became obvious that assisted by his passion for the human body, Damon was a gifted practitioner. For several years I was directly his teacher for advanced bodywork courses such as Integration Therapy and Psychotherapy Skills for Bodyworkers. Damon went on to establish a successful clinical practice and Tai Chi schools in Sydney, the Central Coast and Newcastle. From the onset of our meeting, he had a strong interest in martial arts and in particular Tai Chi. As his massage skills developed so did his Tai Chi skills. The combination of these two healing arts has provided the opportunity for him to master extraordinary therapeutic ability, awareness and intuition. Damon has applied both crafts gaining significant results in both modalities for his clients and students. In more recent times Damon successfully facilitated the massage school’s Cupping and Gua Sha training to practicing remedial massage practitioners. Damon is a lifelong friend to whom I have the privilege of providing mentorship when required.

Damon Bramich studied directly with Fu Sheng Yuan, direct descendant of Yang Lu Chan, and as a result his teaching provides a clear transmission of classic Yang style taijiquan. It is an uncommon opportunity to learn from a teacher with such a solid grounding in the traditional Yang style, who is also an English native speaker, and can therefore articulate the subtleties of this complex art to English-speaking students. In his push hands, Damon has an especially soft and relaxed quality, which is surprising considering how very powerful and solid he can become at any moment. This combination of remarkable softness and overwhelming power is the goal to which all taijiquan students aspire, and Damon makes it seem effortless.
